Getting started

Cheridose requires an iPhone or iPad running iOS or iPadOS 26 or later.

Cheridose guides you through creating a profile, adding a medication, and choosing when it should be taken. Medications taken at the same time can be grouped into a named Dose Event such as Morning Dose or Bedtime Dose.

  1. Add the medication name, strength, and any instructions you want to remember.
  2. Choose a specific daily time or a regular interval.
  3. Review the Dose Event and save it.
  4. Open Today to see what is next and when it is due.

Alarms and reminders

Tap the Settings gear in Cheridose, then choose Alarm Sounds to manage alarms, reminder timing, and Tunes.

  • Persistent due alarm: uses Apple's alarm system and needs alarm permission. This is separate from notification permission.
  • Before-dose reminders: turn this on and choose how many minutes before each dose you want one reminder. These reminders need notification permission.
  • Due notifications: also need notification permission. If notifications are off, Alarm Sounds shows how to enable them.

Stopping a persistent alarm opens Today; it does not mark the dose as taken. Record what you actually took in Cheridose.

Open Cheridose regularly so it can schedule the next alarms and reminders. The device holds a limited number in advance; opening the app refreshes that coverage. Follow any reminder-coverage warning shown in the app.

Device settings, Focus modes, battery state, and operating-system behavior can affect notification delivery. Cheridose shows upcoming and overdue doses whenever you open the app, but it cannot guarantee medical-grade notification delivery.

Do not rely on Cheridose for an emergency or time-critical medical decision. Follow the instructions from your doctor or pharmacist and use an appropriate backup reminder when timing is critical.

Correcting and reviewing dose history

Use the large action on Today when a Dose Event is taken. Select Other for options such as taken earlier, missed, skipped, snoozed, or partially taken. Cheridose offers an undo period after common logging actions.

Open Review to look back at dose activity by day. Your history reflects what was recorded in Cheridose; it is not a clinical record and should not replace medical documentation maintained by your care team.

Premium, travel, and taper schedules

Cheridose Premium is a one-time, non-renewing App Store purchase. When Premium is available, it adds advanced travel planning, clinician-directed taper schedules, and doctor-ready reports without changing the simple Today experience.

Travel and taper tools help you record a plan; they do not decide how or when your medication should change. Enter schedules exactly as provided by your clinician or medication instructions.

Restore a purchase

Open Settings, choose Cheridose Premium, and select Restore Purchases while signed in to the Apple Account that made the purchase. Apple manages payment and purchase history.

Your data

Core medication schedules and dose history are stored locally on your device. Cheridose does not currently provide cloud backup or multi-device sync.

To remove Cheridose data, use the “Forget all data” control in Settings. Removing the app also removes its local app data. Deletion may not be reversible, so review the confirmation carefully.

Read the Cheridose Privacy Policy for more detail.

Send feedback from the app

Open Settings → Feedback and choose Feature request or Bug report. Write your message and tap Send. You need an internet connection, but you do not need an email app or your own email address. Add an optional reply email if you would like us to respond.

Bug reports include limited technical information to help us troubleshoot. Medication names and dose history are not automatically included. Please keep health information out of your message. Our Privacy Policy explains what is sent.

If sending fails, your draft stays on the feedback screen so you can try again. You can also copy the report or open your email app to send it manually. Copy your draft before leaving the screen if you want to keep it.

Feedback is for product support, not medical advice or urgent help.
